Social Services Support at the Cambridge Public Library

The Cambridge Public Library is dedicated to a Cambridge where everyone has equitable opportunities to access resources and support. The Library Social Work Team is available to meet with you on Zoom, by phone or in-person appointments at any of our 7 library locations. Our licensed Social Worker can assist with:

  • Referrals to area agencies
  • Completing applications
  • Resource navigation
  • Mental health/substance misuse linkage and referral

When you’re overwhelmed, it can be hard to know where to start. Sign up to connect with a member of the Library Social Work team to get ideas of next steps and find out what resources and support are available to you in the community.


To schedule an appointment, click here and choose an available time that works best for you. If you do not have an email address, enter as the email and list your phone number in the form. 

Social Work Drop-in Hours

If you are unable to schedule an appointment, the Social Work team will be hosting Walk-in hours for library patrons every Monday starting February 6th from 2pm-5pm at Main Library, Central Square Branch Library, O'Neill Branch Library and Valente Branch Library.




Our Library Social Work Team is available to work with you one-on-one to help connect you to the services and resources that you need.
